THEME PARK AWARDED QUALITY ASSURED VISITOR ATTRACTION STATUS

Visit Wales has awarded their Quality Marque to Oakwood Theme Park, following an assessment earlier this month.

The Visit Wales Quality Marque only gets awarded to attractions that have been independently assessed against the national standards of the Visitor Attraction Quality Scheme.

The assessors look at every facet of the visit from the welcome, the customer service in the café, right through to how easy it is to leave the car park.

Two new sport-themed attractions which opened this year – the Olympic Firing Range and Kickball Challenge – were reported as excellent additions to the park.

The Peter Pan-themed Neverland attractions were described as excellent and the report praised the proactive use of social media throughout the park.

Standards of cleanliness throughout the attraction were described as very good and the Oak Tree Restaurant was commended for the quality and widespread use of Welsh produce.

“We are very proud to have achieved the Visit Wales Quality Marque and would like to thank Visit Wales for their comprehensive, honest and constructive report,” said Oakwood Theme Park’s Phil Verbinnen.

“Alongside all the positives there are, of course, a number of areas which we need to improve upon and this assessment will definitely help us address those issues in a way which will enhance the overall visitor experience,” he added.
