We’ve got some of the most impressive rides in the UK, with many even winning prestigious awards. The only problem you’ll have is deciding which to ride first, and this is why we’ve got you covered with all the best rides to fill your thrill-seeking needs with.
Beat the fear!
Dare you ride on Megafobia? Repeatedly voted one of the UK’s best wooden rollercoasters, it’s perfect for adrenaline-seekers, because it reaches a speed of 48mph, is close to a kilometre in length, and has a height of 84ft.
In 2016, Megafobia celebrated its 20th anniversary, proving its track record as one of the best rollercoasters in the world. In fact, many rollercoaster fans and adrenaline junkies will visit Oakwood from all over the world just to ride on Megafobia.
On rainy days, it can reach speeds of up to 55mph – making it the perfect ride for when the weather’s not so great.

Hold on to your stomachs: Speed is about to take you on an unbelievable ride.
As the UK’s original beyond-vertical-drop rollercoaster, Speed is the fastest ride at Oakwood and is perfect if you’re looking for some intense fun. Hold on tight as you loop, twist, and turn your way around the track.
Speed is actually the tallest, fastest, and steepest rollercoaster in Wales.
Get Drenched!
Hop onboard Drenched and take the trip 100ft into the skies as you admire the exceptional views of Pembrokeshire. As you go on your journey, the boat will make tight turns and twists – just don’t get too comfortable, because you’ll soon enough be dropping down at a speed of 90kph!
Make sure you bring your raincoat, because Drenched’s 45ft tidal wave takes no prisoners and will make sure that everyone leaves soaked!
Drenched opens at 2pm each day and there are changing rooms next to the ride should you wish to change out of your wet clothes. There is also a coin-operated drying machine on site, which costs £2 a go.
Jump around!
Take to the sky with Vertigo, the one of the UK’s tallest Sky Swing ride.
Reach the highest points of the park as you bring your bravest family members along with you for the ride. Pull the release cord, if you dare, and you’ll be sent flying through Vertigo’s massive arch and back into the sky from the opposite side. It’s a thrill like no other.
Admission to Vertigo is not included in the park entry fee, and a flight for three people will normally cost around £36.
Face the water!
Dare you face the Waterfall?
Take to the top of the tower, hold on tight, and keep your composure. Race your rival to the end of the line, but don’t forget to try and keep your balance as you dive down, otherwise you’ll end up taking a dip in the water.
