The Summer After Lockdown – Summer Mania!

How can it be the start of September already? We’ve had an amazing summer here at Oakwood Theme Park and wanted to share some of our highlights with you all…but don’t worry the fun & thrills won’t stop here, check out our September & October opening times here & join is for Spooktacular – where you can ride all day & scream all night!
Over the 6 weeks of school summer holidays we had 39 Summer Mania open days, 390 hours of adrenaline fueled ride time, an incredible 117 live DJ sets played for us from our favourite Pure West Radio DJs at the main stage! That’s 195 hours of awesome tunes – WOW!
Some of the DJs we’ve had performing for us this summer include; DJ Toby Ellis, DJ Wayno, Dowsy DJ, KAILO, DJ Prince, Arkala Dre, Alaina Paget & Jack2Jack!
We’ve also had guest appearances from James ‘Arg’ Argent from The Only Way Is Essex promoting his latest endeavour as Silly Simon in the Big Pembs Panto Jack and the Beanstalk coming December 2021 to the De Valance Pavilion, Tenby. Cassa Jackson (click here to listen on spotify) who is supporting JLS on tour later this year singing her new single “Wished I didn’t care” – it was the first time she performed it live…here at Oakwood Theme Park!!! Cassa was joined by Amir promoting his new single Freak of Nature (click here to take a listen) and by gosh does he have some moves, what an incredible talent – we wish them the best of luck with their new songs!
Which brings us onto the main attraction – our rides and attractions! We had some incredible ride time this summer with you all…the mighty Megafobia giving us great air time, Speed giving us all the loops and twists, Dizzy Disk and Pirate Ship getting us into a dizzy swing, Bobsleigh & Treetops being the ultimately family favourites! Drenched being able to reopen after easing of Welsh Government restrictions on the 7th August…we certainly missed that almighty tidal wave splash!
The school summer holidays may have come to an end, but the fun won’t be stopping at Oakwood Theme Park, with September and October opening dates confirmed we’re set to keep the fun, thrills and ride time going this autumn.
