15 Thoughts Everyone Has When on a Rollercoaster

15 June, 2017

Life is a rollercoaster, just gotta ride it…
Ronan Keating was onto a winner with that song; he couldn’t have worded it any better!
If you’re an adrenaline junkie, a thrill-seeker, or you simply enjoy losing your voice screaming, then you will have experienced most (if not all) of these fifteen thoughts when strapped into a rollercoaster.

1. Excitement!
You’re in the park and the rush of excitement takes over and you can’t help but go a little crazy (everyone’s been there). All your mates are hyped, people are yelling which ride to go on, and the excitement is all too much. You’re assessing which ride queue looks the quickest and then it happens. That one friend (most probably you) points out the biggest, fastest, most adrenaline-packed ride in the park – and that’s where you head towards.

2. Waiting.
Sometimes, no matter how long you spend analysing the different queue lengths, you’ll be stood like this waiting in line…

(Maybe next time you’ll buy a fast-pass ticket, or make the most of our annual passes).

3. Still waiting…
Still no movement and you finally understand the true meaning of this GIF!

4. Movement!
You’re moving, you are finally moving! Wait, let’s not get too excited, because you’ve only taken three steps…
WOAH! Hold up! What’s this? Who’re these two lads just casually walking past everyone to join their mates at the front?!

5. Appreciation.
Seeing as you’re going to spend the rest of your life queuing up, you decide to have a look around. The themed décor to complement the ride is actually pretty cool. You now have a newfound appreciation. Kudos to whoever was responsible for decorating the surrounding area to keep you occupied during the waiting stage.

6. Friendship.
You’re in the queue for a while and get chatting to the groups next you. One thing leads to another, and the next thing you know…

7. Ready?
The time has come! You’re next in line to get on the rollercoaster, and the shock-horror of regret kicks in. You’re nowhere near ready and you begin to second-guess everything.

8. Safety.
You don’t care if you can’t breathe because the seat bar is pulled down so tight, because you revel in knowing you’re safe and that you’ve got this!

9. Goodbye.
The ride begins and it’s time to wave goodbye to solid ground.

10. The Incline.
Talk about suspense as your carriage slowly climbs the rollercoaster – The X-Factor has nothing on the incline!

11. The Top.
We all think we know exactly when the rollercoaster is going to drop, but it surprises us every time. Dangling on the edge before you plummet at serious-crazy speeds and you can never prepare yourself for the drop!

12. Let’s Go!
It’s done, it’s happened, you’re on your way. You begin to start screaming like hell and then whilst you’re upside down on the second loop, you realise you actually love rollercoasters and immediately check yourself!

13. The Photo.
The dreaded reaction photo that we all try our hardest to strike a vogue pose for. But no matter how hard we try, this is the outcome:
The photo always proves to be the funniest part of the day, so it would be rude not to buy the souvenir and allow your awful reaction face to become a permanent figure on your keyring.

14. Aftermath.
Nothing competes with the aftermath of your hair, and there’s no way back from the windswept look.

15. Again!
Your mates suggest going again, you don’t even need to think that through! Your adrenaline is rushing, you can feel that excitement overload, and you go right back to stage one and begin the process all over again.

If you’re an adrenaline adventurer like we are, let us know your thoughts of experiencing extreme speed whilst you’re plunging, twisting and turning through the air. Oh, and if you fancy skipping out the waiting stage, make sure you pick up yourself a fast-pass ticket before you visit.

Come and enjoy the adrenaline rush!
