How to Guide: Make the most of your visit to Oakwood Theme Park – Your day-trip itinerary

Make the most of your day trip at Oakwood Theme Park! Whether you’re taking your partner on an adrenaline-fuelled date or grabbing your mates for some big laughs, here’s our itinerary for a day to remember.
10 am: Arrive at Oakwood Theme Park for the day
Beat the crowds and head to Oakwood mid-morning to make sure you get a full day’s worth of fun. Jump on the mainland train to start your adventure-filled day!
10.15 am: Warm up by jumping on the Creepy Crawler
Ease yourself in and kick the day off with a loop or two around the Creepy Crawler, down on Spooky Street. With twists and bumps, and ups and downs, you’re guaranteed a fun-filled start to your day.
11 am: Feel the adrenaline flow on Megafobia
One for the thrill-seekers, make sure you don’t miss out on this one. Megafobia is one of Oakwood’s most famous rides and attracts roller coaster enthusiasts from around the world. Megafobia has been voted one of the UK’s number-one wooden rollercoasters many times, so it’s definitely one to add to your list.
Oh, we nearly forgot to tell you – it goes even faster in wet weather!
11.30 pm: Treat yourself to a relaxing moment on Oakwood’s boating lake
Take a moment away from the thrills and try out our pedal boats on Oakwood’s lake. You’ll get to see the park from the water, and witness some spectacular rollercoaster reactions on Megafobia!
12 pm: Prepare for a splash on Snake River Falls
Hop into a boat with your mates or date, and get ready for some serious fun. Pick between our super-speedy slides and twisted tubes for a water flume experience you won’t forget.
12:30 pm: Satisfy your hunger pains with a spot of lunch
When you’ve had an adrenaline-packed morning, lunch is definitely on the agenda. Whether you’re after a lunchtime meal, or just a quick bite to eat, at Oakwood there’s something for everyone. From fresh baguettes and pizza, to hot dogs, nachos and more, you won’t be leaving hungry.
1 pm: Explore the woodland canopy on Treetops
Sweep through the trees and take in the breathtaking woodland views on this magical ride.
1.30 pm: It’s time to take on Speed
Ready for a big one? Spice up your afternoon with a whiz around the fastest ride in the whole of Wales. This beyond-vertical-drop rollercoaster will push you to your limits, so sit tight and brace yourself for speeds up to 59 mph.
2 pm: Let’s get Dizzy!
Time to put your stomach to the test with our new ride for 2019! Dizzy Disk – With its outward-facing seats, it’ll get you in a spin as it glides back and forth whilst spinning you in circles.
2:30 pm: Feeling a little worn out? Time for a sugary pick-me-up
Stop by the Ice Cream hut for a quick sugar hit, and get some energy to see you through the rest of the day. Prefer candy floss and doughnuts? Don’t panic, we’ve got them too.
2:45 pm: Get your game on in the Arcade
Take a break from the rides in our newly kitted-out arcade. With a huge variety of games and challenges, you’re guaranteed hours of entertainment… that’s if you don’t miss the rides too much!
3:15 pm: Journey through the magical world of Neverland
Whether you’re looking to fly away with the magical fairy dust at Tink’s Flying School or make tracks with the Sights of London there is something for all the family as you make the journey through Neverland.
4 pm: Yep… it’s time to get Drenched
It’s time for the last ride of the day and with Drenched you’ll definitely go out with a bang. Hold on tight as you plunge more than 100 feet through the air creating the biggest tidal wave you’ve ever seen. Prepare to get drenched!
4.30 pm: Pick up a souvenir to remember your day!
End your day with a trip to our gift shop, and treat yourself to some of our goodies; from teddies and toys, to accessories and Oakwood themed gifts. Want a photo to remember your experience? Take home a series of digital photos and memorabilia of you on your favourite rides!
