Oakwood Theme Park Regulations

Oakwood Theme Park (OAK) places great importance on the safety of its guests and the memorable experience they should take with them from their time at the park.
In order to achieve this, the following regulations will be strictly enforced.

  • 1. You are permitted to enter OAK on the assumption that you are doing so in the knowledge that you are required to adhere to these regulations. You will not be allowed on if you display any behavior which gives rise to a reasonable belief that you will not comply with these regulations.
  • 2. If whilst travelling to the park whether by bus, coach or other means, you have behaved in an inappropriate and /or undesirable manner and such behavior has been reported to OAK by a reliable independent source you may be refused entry.
  • 3. If you have been convicted of a criminal offence relating to OAK or other group attractions you may be refused entry.
  • 4. Once you have entered the Park, if you do not comply with these regulations or we believe, with reasonable cause, that you have not complied with them, we (OAK security personnel or a Police Officer) will remove you from the park. If you refuse to leave, you will be deemed to be trespassing and we may use reasonable force to remove you. If you are ejected from the Park, you will have no right to a refund.
  • 5. By entering the park, you accept that you have a duty to take reasonable steps to ensure your own safety, taking into account any personal medical conditions. All persons in and around the park should also behave in a safe manner at all times.
  • 6. OAK will endeavour to ensure that as many rides and attractions as possible are available for use by guests. We may, however, without refund or compensation, change the operating hours of the Park in its entirety or any part of it; close the Park in its entirety or any part of it; temporarily restrict the number of persons having access to the Park or any part of it; and/or suspend or cancel any attraction or entertainment programme, due to capacity, inclement weather, power failure, special events or any other circumstances or grounds which are judged to be necessary to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
  • 7. OAK accepts no responsibility for any loss and/or damage however it arises (including that which might arise as a result of any breach of contract) including distress inconvenience or anxiety caused during the course of any ride undertaken and/or during evacuation from such a ride in the event of breakdown.
  • 8. You must not use threatening, abusive or insulting words or behave in a manner, which, in the opinion of any member of OAK staff, has caused, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to any other person or which in any way is likely to provoke such behaviour from another.
  • 9. You are not allowed to display any sign or visible representation of any kind which is, or could be reasonably judged to be threatening, abusive or insulting.
  • 10. You must be dressed appropriately at all times whilst on the Park – this includes wearing a top and shoes. If you are wearing clothing that is indecent or likely to cause offence in any way, you will not be allowed entry.
  • 11. Smoking (including of e-cigarettes) is prohibited within OAK, with the exception of designated
    smoking areas.
  • 12. If you behave in a manner which will or is likely to endanger the safety of another, you will be escorted from the Park. The climbing of, or standing upon fences, barriers, walls, ride structures or buildings strictly prohibited for this reason. OAK may initiate legal proceedings or prosecute anyone found damaging or defacing any OAK property.
  • 13. All rides, attractions and amusements, transports systems and other facilities must only be used in accordance with any written rules, regulations or guidelines or verbal instructions given by the operator.
  • 14. You must have a valid Admission ticket and/or receipt to enter the Park and entry must be by valid and lawful means. Admission receipts must be retained as proof of payment; any member of OAK staff may request to see tickets/receipts at any time.
  • 15. Admission tickets are non-transferrable, non exchangeable, non refundable and void if altered. Where OAK reasonably believes that guests have purchased or obtained tickets of discount vouchers from a ticket tout or unauthorised source then admission to the park will be refused.
  • 16. If any guest in breach of these regulations is a member of a group, then the group of individuals may also be denied entry or escorted from the park.
  • 17. No child or children under 13 will be admitted to the Park unless they are accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over and such child or children whilst on site must remain under the control or supervision of an adult at all times.
  • 18. No alcohol or intoxicant or any drugs falling under the misuse of drugs act 1971 may be brought onto the park.
  • 19. To prevent offensive weapons or dangerous articles from being brought into the park, you are admitted to the park subject to the condition that, if requested to do so, you will allow yourself and/or your belongings to be searched. It is prohibited to bring into the park any weapons, firearms, explosive, noxious gas or liquid , fireworks, smoke bombs, glass bottles or any other substance or article which can or may be used to cause harm to another or damage to property that may cause injury. The throwing of any article which could cause injury or affect the enjoyment of other guests is strictly prohibited. Any person found to be in possession of an article deemed to be offensive or dangerous will be immediately escorted from the park without any right to a refund and OAK reserves the right to make reports to the relevant authorities which may lead to prosecution.
  • 20. Certain premises on the park are authorised to sell alcohol in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003. Any alcohol purchased at one of these premises must be consumed on the premises or where premises have an external guest area, within the boundaries of this area.
  • 21. CCTV cameras are used to assist in the proper running of the Attraction. However, we do not make any representation as to the extent of coverage provided by the cameras. All items, belongings and other property brought into the Attraction by you are at your own risk and we accept no liability for any loss or damage to such property. As such, we recommend that you do not bring valuables to the park.
  • 22. Pets or animals of any nature are expressly prohibited in the park and should not be left in any vehicle parked at OAK. OAK reserves the right to contact any relevant authority to make and be responsible for any decision in relation to any animals that are left unsupervised or that are found to be in distress. OAK does however have dog kennel facilities where the dog can be left at the owners’ risk.
  • 23. Unless it is expressly prohibited, you are permitted to take photographs and recordings within the park provided that these are solely for private use and are not sold or used for any commercial or public purpose. OAK may on demand have access to photographs taken and video footage captured by you and request that certain photographs and/or footage are deleted if they are deemed to be offensive to other guests and/or staff. You agree not to intentionally photograph and/or capture video footage of any individual without that person’s
    permission and you must adhere to all photography/filming restrictions in place from time to time whilst within the park.
  • 24. From time to time OAK or other authorised parties carry out photography and/or video recording in the Attraction, which may feature guests. Entry to the park is deemed acceptance of these regulations, and you therefore agree that OAK or any authorised party may use such images in perpetuity in any promotional, advertising or publicity material in any format whatsoever. You further agree that copyright in these materials rests with OAK or such authorised party (as the case may be).
  • 25. Vehicles are parked at the owners’ risk. We take no responsibility for damage caused to any vehicle using the car park and no guarantee is given as to the security of guests’ vehicles in the car park or any contents. No vehicles are permitted to remain in the car park outside OAK’s normal operating hours.

 

TICKETS/ADMISSIONS

Guests are admitted to the park subject to the park regulations which are available on the website and on request.

The rides and attractions are open from 2nd April to 1st November 2015. Guests are reminded that for operational, technical, safety or any other reason any advertised exhibit, attraction or any of the facilities on site may be closed, removed, altered or otherwise unavailable at any time. OAK reserves the right to alter or cancel any show time or other event without notice.

E-Tickets must be purchased at least 1 hour before your arrival at Oakwood Theme Park to allow your transaction to be processed. Failure to do so may mean normal admission charges will need to be paid in order for you to enter Oakwood Theme Park.

E-Tickets available include Standard (ages 13+), Junior (ages 3-12), Senior Citizens, Disabled, Family Ticket for 4 and Family Ticket for 5. Family Ticket for 4 consists of 2 Standards and 2 Juniors, Family Ticket for 5 consists of 2 Standards and 3 Juniors.

Those purchasing disabled tickets will be asked to produce proof of disability, for example Blue Badge holders or a letter from the DWP. For more information on our disability policy please visit the relevant pages on oakwoodthemepark.co.uk.

E-Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable and accordingly may not be sold or passed to any third party.

It is the E-Ticket Visitor’s responsibility to check prior to purchase that the information supplied in respect of the E-Ticket is accurate. If inaccurate information is supplied this may result in additional charges or voiding of the E-Ticket. A booking charge is applied to all E-Ticket purchases.

A valid E-Ticket or booking reference must be produced upon arrival prior to entering Oakwood Theme Park. E-Tickets must be clearly legible and relinquished upon entry.

E-tickets (Excluding 2 day tickets) are valid for one single use during a six month period from the date of purchase except where online discount tickets / online promotional offers state otherwise. E-tickets are no longer valid if unused during the 6 month validity period.

No refund will be given on expired e-tickets. The period of validity cannot be extended.

Discount vouchers, promotional coupons or other offers cannot be used in conjunction with E-Tickets. Please note: this does not apply to online discount tickets purchased from the official Oakwood Theme Park website.

2 Day Tickets are valid for a six month period, use of this ticket is valid for 2 consecutive days during this period. Guests will be provided with confirmation of second visit date at time of first entry. All 2 day tickets are considered fully redeemed after first use and no refunds will be given for failure to use on second admission. Tickets are not transferrable and must be used by the same person for both visits. ID may be required to confirm this. Any additional visitors wishing to enter with an E-Ticket holder will be required to pay the standard attraction admission rate.

Oakwood Theme Park reserves the right to alter admission prices and opening times without notice. Proof of entitlement for certain E-Ticket types may be required for entry (for example disabled ticket). Some optional attractions at Oakwood Theme Park are not included in the cost of an E-Ticket or admissions ticket and require an additional charge. Additionally some attractions have a height restriction or health and safety restriction.

Visitors should be aware that there may be school groups in the attraction during a visit.
Note: Should you wish to leave and then re-enter Oakwood Theme Park on the day of your visit a hand stamp (available at the entrance tills) is required for re-entry.
