It’s official! Oakwood will be reopening for the 2018 season on Monday 9th April.
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the exiting events and activities we’ve got lined up for the year ahead…
After Dark
When? Every Wednesday and Saturday in August, except Wednesday 29th August, with Bank Holiday Monday 27th August thrown in instead.
Hours: 10am-10pm
Hold on to your glow sticks, everyone. Our hugely popular After Dark event will be making a return in 2018!
If you’ve ever wondered what goes on in a theme park after the sun goes down, we can show you – and it’s MAGICAL. We’ll stay open until 10pm twice a week during August, giving you the chance to ride, dance, and sing the long summer nights away with our team of DJs and performers.
More than 20,000 thrillseekers descended on Oakwood for After Dark in 2017. Are you up for the adventure this year?

Colourfest
When? Colourfest is included with every After Dark evening!
What do you get when you mix white tops with After Dark mayhem and neon UV powder? Only the best summer party in Wales – Colourfest 2018! Dance and sing along on stage as our illuminated rollercoasters light up the night sky around you. Life doesn’t get much better than this.
Spooktacular
When? The weekend of 20th-21st plus Friday 26th – Wednesday 31st October
Hours: 10:30am-5pm
Join us for our annual Halloween Spooktacular in October, when we’ll fill the park with fright-night fun for all the family. With a haunted house, scary maze, and plenty of white-knuckle adventure rides on offer, it’s fang-tastic!

Spooktacular Bites Back
When? Saturday 27th October
Hours: 10:30am-8:30pm
We’ll be taking the fear factor up a notch with Spooktacular Bites Back on Saturday 27th October. The park will transform into a terrifying tribute to the world’s most ghoulish time of the year. Face your fears and take to the skies aboard our thrilling adventure rides, but consider this your warning: Spooktacular Bites Back is not for the faint-hearted!

Firework Spectacular
When? Saturday 3rd November
Hours: 10:30am-5:30pm
It wouldn’t be Oakwood without our annual Firework Spectacular! Wrap up warm and join us as we bring the 2018 season to a close by lighting up the evening sky with explosions of glittering colour.
