Oakwood Theme Park played host to more than 300 charity runners as part of the Sport Relief Mile event on Sunday, March 25th.
The runners enjoyed near-perfect conditions as they set off on one of three courses around the Pembrokeshire attraction.
There were different distances for people to enter: one mile, three miles and six miles with all monies raised going towards Sport Relief.
Although final figures for the total of money donated will not be officially confirmed until next month, organisers already know that several thousand pounds have been raised.
Oakwood’s Sandra Hine said: “It was an amazing day with an incredible turnout. We had people of all ages and abilities taking part and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves in the sunshine.
“We devised the courses so that they actually ran through the middle of the theme park so the runners were able to enjoy a sneak preview before we actually open to the public at the weekend.
“We also had a team of people from the park taking part and it was a real family occasion for everyone involved with a great atmosphere – even if there were some tired looking people coming across the finishing line at the end!” she added.
