10 Things Everyone Sees at a Theme Park

Over the past 3 decades, we’ve seen a huge rise in the number of people who venture down to theme parks, with millions of guests per year choosing to spend at least a day at a theme park in 2022.

1. Beat the queues
As much as we love rollercoasters, even we can admit that queueing can be a bit of a pain. This is why you’ll want to do your best to limit the time spent in queues during your visit.
By booking your tickets in advance, you can get into the park as soon as it opens and on the rides as quickly as possible and probably save yourself some money as a bonus!
Queues within the park are inevitable, but at least you can pass the time by soaking in the atmosphere and getting yourself pumped up for the ride ahead!
2. Experience a real buzz in the air
As soon as you walk into the theme park, you’ll experience one emotion first: excitement!
As you wander the grounds of a theme park, you’ll be filled with the feeling of euphoria and wonder. A theme park offers so many opportunities for exploration and excitement, and crucially, you’re sharing that feeling with hundreds or thousands of people who are visiting the park that day too.
3. Race around the park to your favourite rides
When you’ve travelled all that way to visit a theme park, you want to make sure that you experience as many rides as possible, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself racing around the park to be first in line for your favourite ride.
The excitement of getting on a rollercoaster is more than enough to make you forget the distance you’ll cover during your trip to a theme park.
Don’t fret about getting your running trainers on, though, as there are plenty of lulls in the queues such as during lunch or towards the end of the day meaning you get to enjoy your favourite rides again.

You’ve come to the theme park for one reason: the rides. So expect to see numerous rollercoasters from the adrenaline rides to the family section, and of course the wet’n’wild ones (remember your poncho or grab one from your nearest shop!).

That’s what we call an adrenaline rush!
5. Feel the adrenaline
Even though Oakwood is a family-themed park, we’re also a park that caters to the adrenaline junkies out there.
Megafobia is the jewel in the crown of Oakwood, offering a unique wooden coaster with, drops and thrills! Speed offers UK’s first beyond vertical drop, with loops, cork screw and helix features throughout the ride.
If you’re not afraid to peer down, some of the best views of Pembrokeshire are available on top of our huge rides!
6. Are you brave enough?
Scared of heights, or the rapid acceleration of a rollercoaster? Theme parks are a great way to test your bravery in a safe and enjoyable environment. Our expert ride operatives ensure the safety of every rider so that you can conquer your fears and prove to your friends or family that you are the bravest in your group.
Be careful that the on-ride cameras don’t catch you screaming though!
7. Quality family time
