Oakwood hosts Festive Fancy Dress Fun Run for Cancer Research UK
Oakwood Theme Park is hosting Cancer Research UK’s annual Festive Fancy Dress Fun Run on Sunday 9th December to raise money for vital cancer research projects in Wales.
People are invited to fight the festive flab by dressing up in Christmasy costumes to complete the three mile fun run around the picturesque surroundings of Oakwood Theme Park and raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The event begins at 10.30am with a Wintery warm up session with a local Body Combat Instructor who will be putting the Santas, Snowmen, Reindeers and other festive characters through their paces before they set off on the run.
Paddy McNamara, Managing Director of Oakwood says: ‘We don’t mind how long it takes you to complete the three mile circuit we just want as many people as possible to come along and raise money to help fund this extremely important research. With all the fancy dress costumes we’re expecting quite a spectacle at the Park and we’re looking forward to what promises to be a fantastic family day out.’
