Oakwood Theme Park set in the heart of Pembrokeshire, and one of Wales’ top tourist attractions is owned and operated by Aspro Ocio. Aspro is the third largest visitor attraction operator in Europe.

Engineer

Are you a driven, ambitious person who can apply themselves to engineering scenarios? Do you have a Mechanical background or qualification to add to the diversity of our engineering department? Would you like the opportunity to work in an environment that provides a different challenge every day?
Oakwood Theme Park, located in the idyllic setting of Pembrokeshire, West Wales, has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join its engineering team as a mechanical engineer.

This is a varied and challenging role and your responsibilities would include maintenance of all mechanical aspects of our white knuckle rides and assistance to the varying departments of the park where required. Attention to detail, awareness to health and safety rules and regulations, planning and a pro-active approach is essential as Oakwood encompasses a range of challenges.

To be successful you will need to be:

• To comply with ADIPS reports and recommendations and carry out repairs, renewals and alterations in the specified time and correct manner.
• Qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline and able to carry out site maintenance on site premises and theme park equipment.
• Competent in mechanical engineering and able to show a wiliness to learn new skills
• Proactive and able to work on individual projects as well as in a team
• Enthusiastic and willing to work to planned maintenance schedules that coincide with park opening times and winter inspections
• Able to react to problems and situations that arise and provide a solution that allows ride downtimes to be minimised to maintain customer satisfaction
• Confident in working at heights
• Confident and able to work in an environment that provides interaction with various departments and members of the public.

This is a full time post which involves a working week of 40 hours based on a departmental shift pattern and this also includes working early mornings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Admissions Host

Seasonal Fixed Term– Immediate start to October 2013

£6.19 per hour

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the Admissions Team within Oakwood Theme Park. Your focus will be on ensuring fast and efficient entry to the park for our guests and delivering excellent customer service. The team sell a range of ticket types and promotional offers to thousands of guests each day. You need to be organised and guest focused. The Park has a fun and friendly atmosphere and you’ll be there to ensure our guests start their visit having a great time.

The Requirements
You don’t need any experience although previous guest service experience and some cash handling experience will be an advantage.

Seasonal Cashiers

Seasonal Fixed Term– Immediate start to October 2013
£6.19 per hour

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the finance team within Oakwood Theme Park. We are looking for Cashiers to support the permanent finance team in taking responsibility for the cash on the Park. You need to be organised, a hard worker and security conscious as throughout your shift you will ensure the safe and secure handling of cash, perform cash lifts across our many outlets and issue floats to them in the morning. Our Park spans 88 acres and has over 25 tills across the park in 11 outlets; you will therefore need a good level of fitness for this role.

The Requirements
You don’t need any experience, although previous cash handling experience would be advantageous. We’re looking for the right attitude – someone who shows their initiative and has a common sense approach as well as showing real enthusiasm in working as a team.

Cleaners

Seasonal Fixed Term– Immediate start to October 2013
£6.30 per hour

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the Operations Team within Oakwood Theme Park. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that a high standard of presentation is achieved throughout the Park.

The Requirements
To ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the buildings, grounds and toilet facilities, the role involves cleaning toilets, wash hand basins, floors, emptying bins around the Park and ensuring the Park is clean and looks presentable at all times. You are also tasked with making sure supplies are readily available so you need to be well organised. Experience working within a service or cleaning related industry would be advantageous and you need to be able to work without supervision and to a planned cleaning schedule.

The role will involve shift work outside of the normal opening hours to ensure the park is presentable before opening and you will be required to start earlier or finish later than other staff on park – because of this own transport for this role is required.
