May 28, 2015

Oakwood Theme Park is among the finalists for the annual Swansea Bay Awards.

The Canaston Bridge park has been shortlisted for Tourism Attraction of the Year 2015 for Carmarthenshire.

Oakwood Theme Park’s newly-appointed Park Director, Gary Davies, said: “Everyone here was absolutely delighted when they heard the news we had been shortlisted for the final of this prestigious regional award.

“Personally it was a lovely way to start my tenure here at Oakwood but more importantly it means a great deal to all of us and, especially to the other members of the team who have been working so hard over recent years to constantly improve and develop all aspects of the visitor experience here,” he added.

The other finalists are WWT National Wetlands Centre and Folly Farm.

The Swansea Bay Awards is an annual event which recognises the amazing work done on a daily basis by individuals and businesses throughout South West Wales.
